Photos & local storage
You choose images using Apple’s photo picker. Matelo keeps imported copies, thumbnails, project edits, editing defaults and saved presets inside its app storage so that projects can be reopened. Photos stored in iCloud may be downloaded through Apple’s services when you import them.
Editing defaults are stored on the device and can be reset independently in Settings. Resetting them does not remove projects, photos or presets.
Matelo asks for permission to add images to Photos only when you save an export. Your existing library images are not modified. Removing a photo from a batch retains its local copy for editing recovery; deleting its project removes the project’s stored copies. Exported files remain wherever you saved them.
System backups may include app data according to your Apple settings. Deleting the app removes its local app container; previously exported images remain in their destinations.
Export & sharing
Exported files omit camera and location metadata and contain the requested colour information. Temporary files prepared for sharing are stored in the app’s export session until it closes; paused sessions preserve them for continuation.
When you share a file with another app or service, that recipient’s privacy practices apply. Matelo does not operate a server that receives your edited photos.
Purchases
Apple processes payments. Matelo reads verified App Store transaction information to enable and restore the lifetime Pro upgrade. Matelo does not receive your payment-card details.
Apple’s purchase, account and device services are governed by Apple’s own privacy terms. No third-party advertising or tracking SDK is included in Matelo.
Information you choose to send
If you contact support, your message may contain your contact details and any information or attachments you choose to send. Share support details prepares an app/OS version note for you to send using a destination you select; it does not automatically send a report.
Please avoid sending private photos unless they are necessary and you intend to share them.
